The Robadope for Primary Amines  Drug Testing Kit from EZ Test is a specialized tool designed to detect the presence of primary amines in a sample. This includes substances like amphetamines, 2C-B, PMA, and MDA. This testing kit provides a fast colour-based reaction. 


What Does the Robadope Kit Detect?

The Robadope Test is formulated to identify primary amines, reacting specifically with the following substances: 

  • 2C-B
  • PMA (Para-Methoxyamphetamine)
  • MDA (3,4-Methylenedioxyamphetamine)
  • Amphetamines
  • DOx Series 

It is useful in distinguishing between similar substances, such as MDMA vs MDA and PMMA vs PMA, but does not test for the purity or quantity of a substance.

How It Works

The Robadope Reagent contains a mixture of water, acetone, sodium nitroprusside, and sodium carbonate, which reacts with primary amines in the sample. Upon adding the substance to the reagent, the solution changes color, indicating the presence of specific substances. This reaction is then compared to the color chart included in the kit, providing a clear identification of what may be in the sample.

Instructions

  1. Crack Open the Ampoule: Carefully open the glass ampoule included in the kit.
  2. Insert the Sample: Add a small portion of the substance to be tested into the ampoule.
  3. Mix the Chemicals: Place the plastic lid on the ampoule and shake well to ensure the sample fully reacts with the reagent.
  4. Compare the Color Change: Observe the color change in the solution and compare it to the chart provided to identify which chemicals may be present. 

Interpreting the results

  • Lavender/Pink/Purple Color: A quick reaction to any of these colors indicates the presence of primary amines such as amphetamine, PMA, MDA, or DOx. 
  • No Reaction: If no color change occurs, substances such as PMMA, MDMA, Methamphetamine, Mephedrone, or Caffeine are likely present, or there may be no active ingredients in the sample.
