Instructions
- Prepare the Sample: Fill the red field on the instruction leaflet with finely ground sample (approximately 20 milligrams).
- Add Reagents: Add the contents of both tubes to the bottle of liquid. This should result in a greenish upper layer.
- Introduce the Sample: Add exactly 20 milligrams of your sample to the bottle. Close the lid and shake for 2 seconds.
- Observe the Reaction: The bottom layer of the test liquid will change color. Compare this color change to the color chart to assess the heroin content. The darker the lower layer becomes, the higher the heroin purity. If the color remains light to medium brown, it indicates a higher presence of adulterants.
Interpreting the results
- High Purity Heroin: A darker yellow/orange color indicates a higher purity of heroin.
- Low Purity/Adulterants: A light to medium brown color indicates the sample may contain more adulterants.
